Make Poll Results Viewable (To mods and/or participants)
I just spent some time trying to find a way to view results to the poll I posted alongside my Vialogue. The results were buried under the manage screen, while I was expecting the poll results to be accessible somewhere near the poll itself. There should be a way to enable the moderator to view the results, and for the moderator to allow (or deny) the participants to view the results as well.

invite users with a PIN rather than email
I am an educator and I see a lot of potential in this app. The teacher can create video tutorials and share them with students. However, many k-12 schools in the US do not provide emails for students. It would be much more convenient if the student could access the teacher's Vialogues with a PIN that the teacher shares with the students. Edmodo and Ask3 (from TechSmith) have adopted this approach and it is much more convenient for all involved.
Thanks for your attention.

Invite friends of users signing up
Users who sign up using facebook or gmail or twitter are allowed to invite their friends to also sign up using the tool. That way it might be easy for getting more outreach done.

Moderated w/o account sign up
Allow moderated vialogues with users having to create an account. I want to do this with elementary age students and having them create an account is not an option.

Closed captioning & exporting transcript data from the comment feed
Re: Twitter feedback
@dwicksspu David Wicks@Vialogues Great tool. Suggestions - Make it clear that YouTube is CC solution for now. Allow us to export transcript and question data :)
It would be great for instructors to be able to download transcripts of vialogue discussions!

Videos under processing should not show up in Recent Vialogues
On the logged in homepage, videos which are being processed should probably not show up in Recent Vialogues until they are available for view. If theres a reason behind why you are currently showing them, then probably giving a little more information to the user might help ; For e.g. This video is currently being processed but would be available to view under 5 minutes. (And then the page should refresh using ajax) to show that the new vialogue is ready)

More descriptive analytics for poll results
Right now the only results shown for poll questions are in percentages. In future releases, it might be worth it to consider adding even more descriptives, such as how many people (and even who) answered the question. Also, the poll result image should expand based on the content inside. For example, sometimes when the answers are long, they get all smushed together and it's impossible to read.

Option to pause the video while typing
We should have the option to pause the video while typing.

Use standard meta tags to improve sharing on sites like Facebook
When sharing a vialogue link on Facebook, no thumbnail or video meta data (title, duration, the fact that it is a video) appears. This is unfortunate because many people do not know that a vialogue link is a video and without the thumbnail, it is easy to overlook the post. I think this is a lost opportunity for those trying to share vialogues and for the platform as a whole. You can read about Facebook meta tags here:
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/opengraphprotocol/
There may be other meta tags for other sharing sites, but I am not familiar with them.

Let us sort videos, please.
Add functionality that allows for alpha or manual sort of Vialogues/videos within a Group.

Show more comments
It looks like Vialogues only shows 3 comments per thread at a time. So if there were 5 comments made to someone's post, I have to click "more" to see the rest of the comments. I think this button (the "more" button) is easily overlooked, especially when it's placed under a comment that needs to be expanded. Why not just show all of the comments in a thread? Or, at least make the expand/contrast functionality more apparent.

Username is uninformative & unprofessional in a discussion
Currently, we are using usernames for identifying people in a discussion. These usernames are uninformative since people create usernames out of old school messenger ids. It also makes the discussion look unprofessional. I think that we should use Full Name (First Name, Last Name) to be displayed in the discussion, instead of the username.

"Like" a comment
I'd like to "like" a comment... but I don't think we should be able to dislike a comment.

It would be amazing if special needs users could opt for voice to text commentary!

Create user channels
Lets create user "channels" that people can either follow or view. This will allow people to gain a "following" and become "experts" on the site.

Can we hyperlink the video titles?
In the right-hand column of videos there is an option to click on the vialogues and the "create new" but not the video title? This is a bit confusing? Perhaps make all three clickable?

Video stills
https://vialogues.com/vialogues/play/2806
Pranav asked that I submit an example of how the aspect ratio for a video that we upload is squished when a still is made.
For youtube videos, there are no constrained proportions but for our videos, which are shot and edited in 16:9, they are squashed when converted to a 4:3 still. So, essentially every video that we upload is represented by the wrong aspect ratio in the still.
Thanks!
